Truest Love

She doesn’t know it yet, but this is the man that every other man will have to live up to.  And in his eyes, they probably never will.
I’m unwrapping the gift of the truest love, that between a Daddy and his girl.  Why not join in at Chatting at the Sky for Tuesdays Unwrapped?

  • Oh so true.

  • Your header photo is amazing. I could handle living in Switzerland. 🙂

It’s a lovely thought, too, about your daughter and your husband. My daughter has Down’s, and I look at her life so much differently than I expected I would view a daughter’s life.

  • My daddy was absolutely the standard when I chose my husband. And I was so blessed to find someone who measured up. I owe so much of who I am and the life I live today to my dad. What you’ve shared may seem like a simple gift to some, but it is so, so much more than that. Thank you.

  • What a beautiful picture! Your words are so true. I just recently told my father that because of him I knew what to look for in a husband.

  • I feel the same way about my little girl when she looks at her Daddy. And I think the same thing about how he feels about other “boys” that will come along. One day she will find someone, and I know that God will be glorified.

  • Truer words were never written! I held all men to my father’s standard, and thank God, He sent me a man who rose to it. My older daughter recently expressed that her dad was her greatest dating handicap. They all fall short. (I did tell her that her own dad was imperfect and growing at her age too, but for some oddball reason, she doesn’t believe me…grin.)

  • Sigh. This makes my heart hurt and feel warm at the same time. I have a girl. Her daddy hung the moon. And I think that’s as it should be. : )

Your photo at the top is beautiful!

  • You know? I never really looked at any particular boyfriend to be like my dad, but my husband has a lot of the same qualities anyway.

  • Deep meaning in just a few words…beautiful.

  • As the mother of 3 little girls, I know how much little girls adore their daddy. So sweet!
