Counting down

Race day is drawing closer, and I’m getting more and more anxious. I’m feeling badly about my knee, hoping I can just make it to the finish line. Tomorrow Sophie, my running buddy Mike, and I will be heading into the city for the Expo, where we will pick up our race bibs and timing chips.

I feel I’m as prepared as I can be, given that I’ve battled a number of injuries and illnesses over the course of the last five months. A girl can only do so much and I’m praying that it’s enough. If you’re of the praying persuasion, please say a quick one for me Sunday morning. For strength, perseverance, and intestinal fortitude:)

You have my prayer for a successful race – whatever that means to you. For me it would be not to die before the finish line. I am assuming your goals are more noble than mine!

Praying, cyber cheers, and I’ll probably do a slow 10k just to be one with you…

  • A race–how exciting! I am really tempted to try one someday. Hope things go well for you!
