No matter how thorough I am, somehow Sophie manages to find the lone marker I have missed in my daily sweep for writing materials. I know my friends are tired of hearing me discuss (complain/rage) about Sophie’s artistic tendencies, but really. How does she do it? Not two minutes after I took a pen away from her, I found her looking like this:

She’s quick, she’s quiet, and she really doesn’t care for consequences either. God help me when the child is a teenager!

First Things First

I am so excited to finally be joining the world of blogging!  I am somewhat computer illiterate, so this will be an adventure for all of us.  I love reading blogs, it’s like legal peeping tommery (is that a word?).  So, I’m inviting you to take a peek at what’s happening in my head, my heart, and my home.  I’m looking forward to finding time for a cup of tea and a chat with you about life here.

Today we are stuck home on a gray and rainy day, with my two boys (the big one and the little one) lying sick on the sofa.

 I’m told that the average person catches 12-15 viruses per year, and I think we have caught every last one of them this winter.  I can’t wait for the arrival of spring, to throw open the windows and air out the place.  In the meantime, I will settle the boys in for hours of guilt free TV viewing, while I enjoy a cup of tea and this:
